It's December the WHAT?!!

How is it December 17th already? One more week until the REAL insanity starts! Note to self: do NOT shoot overweight intruder in red entering through chimney.

See that pile of twigs to the left? It's a tree. Granted, a small tree, but the trunk is completely buried in the dumping we got on Wednesday. Firstborn's school bus was still not running this morning because the back roads have yet to be plowed out and the driver is stranded at home with his bus!

I got the already-broken snow shovel out yesterday to clear a path to my front door and managed to finish the shovel off. You'd be surprised at the total ineffectiveness of trying to clear snow with a garden rake!

If you still need to get out there and brave the mall, I wish you all the best. I'm staying home and baking!

Gorgeous snowy picture! We've gotten tons of white stuff over the last couple of days too! Baking sounds like a great way to spend the day!
If you see that overweight fella dressed in red, can you shoot him with your camera please?!

I'm not in the middle-of-nowhere, Manitoba. I happen to be in the hub of the excitement of this province: Winnipeg! Seriously, we're like neighbours...sorta...
Enjoyed your post and glad to have found someone whose freezing her butt off as much as I am. I just can't take these Americans with no snow complaining of being 'chilly' :)

I can't imagine what would happen if we got that much snow! Just look at all that white stuff. We had ice here and it shut everything down. I couldn't get out any door....we threw food over the railing of a covered porch for the poor dogs! Water was lowered by a rope. If I had started down any of the steps, you would have had to come find me when the ice melted, cause I would have been 10 miles away!

I completely understand! We had snow like that earlier in the season...too bad about the snow shovel, may it RIP & be soon replaced!

I wish I had snow like that! Of course, I can say that from the comfort of my home, where my car is right outside and ready to go anywhere, lol. And not a shovel in sight. But life without snow has really gotten to me lately. I hope you enjoy all your baking!

How pretty! Snow pretty much paralyzes Nashville. We got some a week or so ago and I kept thinking, "I hope this stuff melts so I can get my shopping done!"
