Mojo slowly returning... Snow almost gone....

Just wanted to remind all my Canadian blog pals that today is Election Day here in Canada. Get out there and vote!

I actually voted in the advance polls, and my vote didn't count one bit because I disagree with most other people in my riding. But voting affords you one of life's most important rights: the right to bitch about the government!

I was going to post a handy voting guide for those who are still undecided, but everything I had to say was mean-spirited and ended up back at Stephen Harper looking like the guy from the Play-Doh Mop Top Hair Shop right after I gave him that perm helmet. Apparently, I should be writing the campaign ads next time, since most of the ones I saw and heard operated at about that same level of maturity.

So, you're on your own. Do your part and vote your conscience. May the best candidate win, and may tomorrow be a new day for Canada!

It sounds like your country is just like my country...everyone is yearning for change. There are still soooo many people out of work and our government has made the statement "The Recession is Over". I just want to know where! It seems like there is so much suffering right here in my little spot of the world. People are loosing everything, cars, homes, furniture and everything wiped out; with no hope of going back to work.

Glad you are back; even if it is just to get me back up on my soap box! I have missed you!

I always vote here in the US. I figure that people have given their lives so I can have the privilege, even if I don't like the choices.

I used to think my vote didn't count... because I agreed with the state majority! Then I realized that I was missing out on influencing all of those local issues, and have voted ever since. And even when I vote the majority way, I feel proud to have been a part of it!

Between Christmas and the New Year, I decided to treat myself and subscribe to In Style magazine for a year. I like clothes and makeup and all things girly, so it seemed like a fun thing to look forward to receiving in the mail every month. And it is. The Luck Of The Irish

As far as I know, I do not even have 1% Irish in me. The last time I looked into it, I found that I was 99.9% English with, I think, a tiny smidge of Scottish if you go back far enough. This, however, does not stop me from going hog wild on St Patrick's Day. I already have the beef marinating for my Steak and Guinness Pie tomorrow. This year, it seems I've cashed in all those lucky four-leafed clovers I found out back as a kid. In just over a year, I have won no less than FOUR blog giveaways! Blogging is turning out to be better than the lottery! Two of those giveaways I won this month within a week of each other. Real vs Fake

The Captain has only been gone 2 weeks. Already I've committed the ultimate marital sin. You hear stories about the things wives get up to while the husbands are serving overseas. The wife who moves a new guy in the minute her husband's gone. The wife who clears out the bank account and does a runner. The one who takes all his extra tour money and spends it on new shoes. I never thought I'd become one of those nuts who does something crazy while he's away. But I have. Yesterday, I bought one of these: Okay, fine.
