Santa's Workshop Is Adjourned

Big news! Two of Canada's Supreme Court Justices are retiring this year!

No, it's not big news for me either. Between the flooding that'll have my husband away from home for at least another week, and about 40 other things on my mind, I wish whichever two are hanging up the gavel many riveting years of Tuesday afternoon Bingo, but otherwise I couldn't care less.

What did stop me in my tracks though was this picture from the Canadian Press (swiped from cbc.ca):

Now, I ask you, does this look like a group of people you'd entrust your legal system to, or does it look more like the last act of your kid's Christmas concert at school? Red and white and Canada. I get that. But in fluffy fuzzy North Pole fleece? It's a little much.

I have no idea who dresses these people, but for the sake of good old Canadian modesty, could we please tone it down a little?!

Those outfits look hot. And not in the sexy way.

Those outfits do have an unfortunate "Santa" vibe.

Hee Hee Hee! Thank you for the giggle! I don't think cute and cuddly is a good look for our Supreme Court Justices! :)

You gotta love that picture! I'm with you about who dresses them! I wonder if any of them actually looked in the mirror before the picture and what was in their thoughts! Have a great weekend! Sorry, it is still cold there!

At first I thought you were going to start your holiday shopping way too early and I was trying to figure out a way to stop you. Who designed their garb and didn't they at least look in the mirror? OMG! Thanks for the chuckle this early on a Saturday morning here in Florida. I love it and keep them coming. Have a great weekend! Jude

Try to have a good weekend. I am off to Toronto to see my Dad who has been in the hospital now for over a month and take supper to my Mom. Also doing a card making party for my niece's 9th birthday!!
Too bad we can't meet up for a big fish bowl of wine!!!

Granted, the robes are a little ridiculous, but what's more ridiculous is how proud and in awe of them each justice must have been at the time of his swearing in. and each time he gets to throw it on for an official outing. A bit like a toddler who dresses himself.

All I can think about now is Bingo- I love Bingo! I plan to play a lot of it when I'm retired. But not get all dressed up like Mrs. Claus.

You haven't enabled your email in your profile!! I've wanted to reply to your comments so many times and can't. I might be blind, but I can't find it listed anywhere on your site or in your profile, either. Woudl you send it to me?

Your title is perfect, as I realized when I saw the picture. I agree, the uniform needs some changes!

They definitely don't look like judges...but the weird thing is, this is May. Is this a new picture?
