Sexy

This evening I was giving my kids a bath. Rosemary's Baby has a new set of bath crayons from his therapist, who has just started a year-long maternity leave. She wanted to give him something that would encourage him to write and draw, one of his goals for this year. Rosemary's Baby had fun this evening writing on himself with them, while Firstborn took them to the inside surface of the bathtub.

I was reading a magazine and not paying much attention to what they were doing, when I looked up to see this:

Where does a 6 year-old learn this stuff?! He tells me he saw an animated character talking about his "sexy new hairstyle" on a kids' game site, and then wants me to explain to him exactly what "sexy" means!

Time to tighten up the parental controls!

OMigosh, thank God! At first glance, I thought it was a crime scene!

Come to think of it, it kinda IS ...

Maybe my parents were right: no dating til you're 17, no car, no cell phone, no after-10-pm TV, no comic books, no "cheap" novels, and school uniforms til you graduate ... college.

Those were the good old days, huh?!?

Have a great week, Kiddo!!

just wait till they get older and randomly say "penis" to kids at school until the principal is calling you on the phone... yep.. the joys of teenage girls... in a Christian school....

Funny
Love to you

Oh my gosh! It is crazy how such words get tossed around on kid's shows and websites. I once heard a father in an elementary school using that word to describe objects and ideas, like instead of good job, he'd say, "Oh that's sexy!" I totally cringed and took my kids out of the room.
On a positive note, your son has really neat printing skills, and super spelling!

Don't you just love it!! I think its hysterical what kids will come out with... As long as its all pretty innocent I think we are ok!!
Hope you are well.!! thinking about you!!
Heeeheehe! Good luck Mama. Just goes to show ya, sex is everywhere. Even where six year olds are influenced.

God bless and have a glorious day!!!

It is all about how we respond!! 10 percent is what they do and 90 percent is how we respond! good luck - I can't get over the words my 4 year old knows - still no swears -- but I think they are just way ahead of where we were at their age!

Good luck
